Highmark Enterprises is a family-owned and operated construction company. We’ve been doing business under our company name since 2005. From the very start, our mission has always been to apply our broad range of capabilities and services toward completing every job on time, within budget, and to our client’s greatest satisfaction.
When he was still high school, Dustin Boen started working with his dad, Kerry, on construction projects. This apprenticeship guided him in his education. Dustin earned a Bachelor of Science from Anoka Ramsey and a degree from the University of Minnesota, majoring in Civil Engineering and minoring in Construction Management. After college, Dustin went to work for a small commercial construction firm where he was employed as foreman for five years. Ultimately, Dustin felt he wasn’t meant to sit behind a computer all day. What he really wanted to do was start something on his own, so in 2005, he launched Highmark Enterprises.
Initially focused in the metro area, Dustin expanded Highmark’s reach to include the North Shore and Greater Minnesota. With referrals from architects, contractors, and satisfied customers, Highmark continues to grow.
At the age of 15, Kerry Boen was pumping gas and didn’t see much of a future in what he was doing. Then, someone offered him a carpentry job. Kerry began a work/study program in school, apprenticing with gifted carpenters to fully learn his craft. Nearly 40 years later, he is a skilled, talented, and highly experienced craftsman. With knowledge of the intricacies and challenges of construction, Kerry leads the Highmark Enterprise team toward success on every project.
